Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, directed the launch of the third edition of the “Gadeha” programme, in light of the success it achieved in its first and second editions. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that, given the positive response the programme received in its first and second editions, the significant viewership, the widespread acclaim it garnered, and the positive interaction from many within and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, the third edition of the ‘Gadeha’ programme builds on this success and continues to fulfil its objectives of providing Bahraini youth with the opportunity to showcase their energy and physical abilities, while highlighting their strength, resilience and spirit of challenge. His Highness emphasised the importance of thorough preparation for the programme’s third edition to ensure it lives up to the success of the first and second editions, which requires redoubled efforts to make the programme even more exciting and thrilling. Nasser bin Hamad visits ‘Gadeha Junior’ camp and reviews the training programmes and field exercises
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, visited the ‘Gadeha Junior’ training camp for young people held at Exhibition World Bahrain, where His Highness observed the training programmes and field exercises offered by the camp. His Highness toured a number of the camp’s training grounds and observed some of the challenges faced by the young participants, noting the physical effort, concentration, quick reflexes and decision-making skills required. His Highness affirmed that “Gadeha Junior” provides a practical experience that gives young people the space to discover their abilities and test their potential through various situations and challenges. His Highness noted that character building begins by giving young people the confidence and opportunity to experiment, face challenges and learn. His Highness explained that one of the camp’s objectives is for children to learn from a young age that challenges are not to be feared but to be faced, and that self-confidence is built through trying, experimenting and overcoming difficulties. His Highness emphasised that “Gadeha Junior” is not about seeing who finishes first, but rather aims for every participant to discover potential within themselves, and to realise that stumbling in one attempt is not the end of the road, but rather a motivation to return stronger. Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, participated in the virtual meeting of defence ministers on the multinational military mission in the Strait of Hormuz, at the invitation of the United Kingdom and the French Republic, with participation from more than 40 countries. During the meeting, participants discussed the latest security developments in the region and ways to strengthen joint international efforts aimed at supporting and securing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as mechanisms for coordination and cooperation among the countries participating in the multinational mission. The meeting also addressed the importance of enhancing the security of commercial and civilian vessels, supporting operations to protect shipping lanes, and carrying out maritime mine clearance operations, to ensure the smooth flow of international trade and the safety of maritime navigation, alongside supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening regional and international stability, while calling for more countries to join in the future to contribute to these joint efforts and enhance the effectiveness of international maritime operations.more
