His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, congratulated Muharraq Club on winning the Nasser bin Hamad Premier Football League for the 2025/2026 season. His Highness affirmed that Muharraq Club’s victory came as a result of the outstanding and consistent performances it delivered throughout the season, commending the role of the club’s board of directors, chaired by Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa and the board members, as well as the efforts of the technical and administrative staff and the players. His Highness also commended the tremendous support of the fans, which motivated the players throughout the season. His Highness also commended the significant efforts made by the Bahrain Football Association, chaired by Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, praising the outstanding organisational and technical role of the Association and its working committees, which had a significant impact on the success of the season and its professional conduct, reflecting the development of sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness praised the high technical level of the league, emphasising that the competition was characterised by intensity and excitement right up to the final rounds, reflecting the continuous development of Bahraini football and the commitment of all clubs to deliver the highest technical standards and achieve positive results. Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander participated in the inauguration of the Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit (AEGGIS) held in Greece until May 17th, 2026, at the official invitation of the Atlantic Council in collaboration with Antenna Group, with the participation of leaders, decision-makers, political and economic figures, and investors from the GCC and Europe. Present were, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to consolidate its position as an influential strategic partner in supporting regional security and stability and strengthening international cooperation based on shared interests and comprehensive and sustainable development visions. His Highness explained that the geopolitical and economic transformations witnessed by the world today necessitate building more integrated and influential alliances, based on strategic integration and unifying visions between GCC states and Europe, which creates quality opportunities for investment, development and shared security. His Highness noted that the summit is an important international platform for enhancing strategic dialogue between Europe and GCC states, particularly in light of rapid global changes and the need for greater coordination on security, energy, investment, technology and the digital economy. Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, participated in the virtual meeting of defence ministers on the multinational military mission in the Strait of Hormuz, at the invitation of the United Kingdom and the French Republic, with participation from more than 40 countries. During the meeting, participants discussed the latest security developments in the region and ways to strengthen joint international efforts aimed at supporting and securing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as mechanisms for coordination and cooperation among the countries participating in the multinational mission. The meeting also addressed the importance of enhancing the security of commercial and civilian vessels, supporting operations to protect shipping lanes, and carrying out maritime mine clearance operations, to ensure the smooth flow of international trade and the safety of maritime navigation, alongside supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening regional and international stability, while calling for more countries to join in the future to contribute to these joint efforts and enhance the effectiveness of international maritime operations.more
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, UK Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor. During the meeting, His Highness affirmed the depth of the strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, commending bilateral cooperation in the fields of defence and security, and stressing the importance of continuing to build on strategic agreements and partnerships, foremost among which is the Comprehensive Security, Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), in a manner that consolidates security and stability and serves mutual interests. The meeting reviewed regional and international, and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest. It also affirmed the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation to preserve the security and stability in the region and consolidate regional and international peace.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs received Nabeel Khaled Kanoo, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Yousif Salahuddin, First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani, Second Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present were, Abdulla Jehad Al-Zain, Director General of the Office of His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs. His Highness congratulated the Chairman and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors on their election in the Chamber's 31st session, wishing them success in continuing the national efforts and achieving further successes that support the national economy and enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s standing at various levels. His Highness affirmed the vital role played by the private sector as a key partner in the path towards comprehensive development. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputized His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, to attend the final match of the His Majesty the King’s Football Cup for the 2025/2026 sporting season, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and a number of senior officials. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa crowned Muharraq Club champions of His Majesty the King’s Football Cup following their victory over Riffa Club in the final, which was attended by a large crowd. On the occasion, His Highness expressed pride in attending on behalf of His Majesty the King, affirming that His Majesty the King’s Football Cup is one of the most prominent national sporting events, receiving direct support from His Majesty the King. His Highness noted that this support reflects His Majesty’s commitment to enhancing the status of sport in the Kingdom and raising its standards, to make further achievements at various levels. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, has won the Victorious Ultimate Endurance Challenge, which was held with a large turnout of participants. His Highness’s participation is part of his ongoing commitment to support various sports initiatives that strengthen young people’s capabilities and hone their physical abilities. Present were, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority. His Highness won first place after completing all the physical challenges in a time of 01:28:35, successfully overcoming the seven challenges across five rounds to take his place on the podium with merit. Results showed that Yousef Farhan finished in second place with a time of 01:36:25, followed by Kenny Wallace in third place with a time of 01:38:53, Mohamed +Al-Ghais in fourth place with a time of 01:40:23, and Abdullah Salem in fifth place with a time of 01:41:34. On the occasion, His Highness affirmed that the Victorious Ultimate Endurance Challenge is one of the outstanding initiatives that strengthened the participants’ determination, patience and endurance. His Highness noted the importance of organising such events for their role in building character and developing physical and mental abilities, in light of the outstanding levels witnessed during the event. His Highness also praised the excellent professional organisation of the event, extending his sincere thanks and appreciation to the organising committee for their efforts.
