The Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s junior national basketball team winning the Arab Championship held in Egypt. His Highness affirmed that the outstanding efforts of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa resulted in this remarkable achievement, which embodies the pioneering steps of the Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation League initiative, which aims to prepare a promising generation of athletes capable of representing the Kingdom in the best way. His Highness explained that this honorable achievement reflects the determination, perseverance and high potential of Bahraini youth, which qualifies them to reach podiums. The Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa was crowned the winner of the Rushford Endurance 120-km race held in the United Kingdom, in the presence of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee and member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad secured first place after successfully completing the four stages of the race amid widespread participation from riders. On the occasion, His Highness affirmed that winning first place in the race is a great motivation for the team ahead of its important upcoming championships, stressing the determination to highlight the status of Bahraini endurance in international forums. His Highness also affirmed achieving many goals during this participation, as the riders gained more exposure and experience, which will contribute to raising their technical abilities in future participations. His Highness congratulated all the riders who won first place in the various races. His Highness beat Abdullah Al Bastaki from the United Arab Emirates, who came in second, while Singh from the MRM team came in third. The Royal Endurance Team secured second and third place in the 100-km race, with Zuhair Mohammed coming in second and Asim Janahi coming in third. Hamad Al Kaabi from the United Arab Emirates won first place in the 160 km race, with his teammate Saif Al Mazrouei coming in second, while Royal Team rider Mohammed Abdul Samad won third place.more
His Majesty the King‘s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated Al Khaldiya Club on winning the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League Championship (2022-2023). HH Shaikh Nasser attributed the first trophy in the history of the club to the dedicated efforts exerted by the administrative and technical staff, as well as players and affiliates. HH Shaikh Nasser commended the technical level attained by Al Khaldiya’s players as well as their determination to achieve their goal and lift the trophy. “This trophy will motivate the club to have more achievements in the future”, he said, praising at the same time the efforts of the members of the technical and administrative staff. HH Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts made by Al Khaldiya Club chairman and board members, hailing their dedication in their work which enabled the team to clinch the first title. He also commended the performance and level of the other national clubs during the Nasser Premier League matches, hailing their resolve to serve football in Bahrain and further enhance its level. Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and the Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has been crowned with the gold after winning the first place in the FEI Endurance World Championship, making him the champion of the 160 kilometre race in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. During a ceremony held at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa was also conferred the gold medal of best team and prize of best condition The ceremony was also attended by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, and other officials. His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has clinched the World Endurance Championship. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad outclassed other contenders from the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Spain to win the race and clinch the trophy, clocking 7 hours, 36 minutes and 39 seconds. HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa followed up the 160-kilometre race which was held at Boudheeb Global Village in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 126 contenders representing 36 countries were in the fray vying for the trophy. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad dedicated the victory to HM the King, praising royal support to sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, particularly endurance sports. He noted the string of landmark sports achievements in the prosperous era of HM the King, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his continued support. President of Hungary, Katalin Novák, attended today the Horse Racing Cup of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his children. The race was held at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in the presence of Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Chairman of the High Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented a briefing to the Hungarian President about Bahrain’s interest in the equestrian sport, in general, and horse racing, in particular, being part of the kingdom’s inherent history. He also discussed with her bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation and ways of boosting them at all levels. The Hungarian President watched the race for which cash prizes worth BD 68,000 have been allocated. Three cars were also up for grab by the spectators who attended the race.more
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup for private stables for 120 km was held today at the Bahrain International Endurance. His Majesty King Hamad’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and BREEF Honorary President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended the race, held under the patronage of the SCYS first Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. BREEF President, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, crowned jockeys Sarhan Hameed Al-Anzi, from Al-Safinat Stable, Yusuf Saleh, from Al-Asayel Stable, and Mohammed Ammi, from the Ahmed Al-Fateh Stable, for winning the first three places respectively during the 120 km-race. On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation for the efforts of Shaikh Khalid to boost endurance sport in Bahrain, contributing to the success of the youth and sports sectors in achieving their goals, noting that HH’s patronage of the event has contributed to its outstanding success. HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that the wide participation of stables in the race reflects their advanced level and distinguished ability to prepare horses for such competitive events, noting that the fierce competition among riders throughout the race proves that the endurance sport in Bahrain is on the right track. The Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship, organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef), was held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village today. Attended by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Breef Honorary President, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the event was held under the patronage of SCYS First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. A great number of stables and jockeys participated in the championship which featured local and international 160-km, 120-km and 100-km races, in addition to qualifying races. HH Shaikh Nasser was keen to follow all stages of the races, during which he gave directives to riders. HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the championship has always been an important event in which jockeys compete and perform well, adding that it provides a platform to discover youth talents who will be able to represent the kingdom at various external endurance gatherings. He indicated that this year’s championship had been successful, given the high level of the participants, confirming the distinguished status reached by the endurance sport in Bahrain. HH Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts exerted by Breef to provide all kinds of support for stables and jockeys, as well as put in place perfect conditions for the success of the championship. He added that the outstanding performance of jockeys during the championship will motivate them in the upcoming local and external events, particularly HM the King’s Cup, wishing all jockeys and stables further success.
