HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, promoted National Security Advisor, Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council and Commander of the Royal Guard, Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to the rank of Lieutenant-General. HM King Hamad was also accompanied by HM King's Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Royal Guard Special Force Commander, Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, was also present. HM the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, promoted HH Shaikh Nasser to the rank of Lieutenant-General in recognition of the tremendous efforts he is making to serve the homeland in the military field, including HH's distinguished military achievements, as a Supreme Defence Council Secretary-General, a National Security Advisor and a Royal Guard Commander. A memorandum of understanding has been signed today between the Bahrain Defence Force and the UAE Ministry of Defence related to cooperation between the two countries in the field of training and conducting joint exercises. The signing ceremony was attended by National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei.
