The Kingdom of Bahrain is set to host the District 20 Toastmasters Annual Conference (DTAC 2021) on May 28 and 29. Held under the patronage of Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the event with bring together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait under the slogan “Together Towards the Future”. It embodies deep-rooted fraternal ties binding both countries under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Amir of Kuwait, HH Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah. Considered the greatest event in toastmasters, the conference will attract 147 Arabic and English-speaking clubs. Being patronized by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, it reflects his unwavering keenness to supported the gifted and people interested in the arts of leadership and toastmasters in Arabic and English. The conference Chairman, Eng. Yasser Al Gashar, expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronizing the conference. He noted that more than 1000 male and female participants from Bahrain and Kuwait will take part, pointing out that the organising committee is keen on its success. District 20 Director, Mohammed Salim, commended HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s patronage of the event and his support to the youth, describing that as an incentive for all participants to excel and stand out. The winner of the first place will represent the district in the conference which will be held in the USA this year.more
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the landmark achievement of the UAE Hope Probe, which succeeded in reaching its Mars orbit. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa also extended congratulations to UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “We feel proud that the UAE was the first to reach the red planet this year”, said, hailed the scientific achievement achieved which the wide-ranging development experienced by the United Arab Emirates in various fields. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid tribute to the UAE leadership, hailing its keenness on reaching space and exploring the red planet and achieving further scientific milestones. “The phases that the Hope Probe went through and the great capabilities provided to the project in order to overcome all challenges confirm the amazing development of the United Arab Emirates in its journey towards the conquest of space”, he said. He hailed the great determination and political will which made this project successful to serve lofty goals for humanity by exploring the properties of Mars, which will contribute to enriching scientists' knowledge of the red planet.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, issued an edict to form the Board of Directors of the Hope Fund to support youth projects and initiatives. The move is in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to establish the Hope Fund to support youth projects and initiatives, invest and support the dynamism, aspirations and innovations of Bahraini youth to set up and own businesses and companies in order to serve their community and improve their income. The Fund also supports promising opportunities for young people to reap the fruits of their efforts. The Fund will be chaired by Youth and Sport Affairs Minister, Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayed, and will comprise Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa representing the private sector, Abdullah Jihad Al Zain and Ahmed Yusef Talib representing the Office of the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Shafei representing Bahrain Bourse Company and Samir Zuhair Antoun Auji and Ali Habib Ahmed Qassim representing the private sector. The board will serve a term of four years. The Hope Fund aims to monitor the skills and competencies of young Bahrainis to support their ideas and aptitudes, discover, refine and highlight youth talents and enable them to achieve success and continuity in a way that will positively reflect on the Kingdom's action in activating their role, enhancing their contribution to development, easing their entry into the business world with confidence and ability, and achieving stability. The Fund also aims to assist the launch of youth projects towards globalization by developing plans to involve Bahraini competencies in all sectors to become strategic partners thanks to their expertise in refining the promising future generation in addition to undertaking investment and youth projects and achieving revenues to develop, support and sustain the youth sector. The Fund will highlight the achievements and accomplishments in the youth sector and motivate the youth with rewards, prizes and other means of material and moral encouragement. It will also contribute to the establishment and development of youth projects, and coordination with government agencies in charge of implementing programs and projects in this field.more

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa addressed a virtual forum via Zoom application under the theme “Zayed’s Ambitious Mission”. UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain HH Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al-Nahyan also took part in the virtual session. The UAE Embassy in Bahrain organized the event along with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, the National Space Science Authority (NSSA) , with the participation of more than 300 people remotely. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid tribute to UAE President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum for their keenness on encouraging the Emirati youth who brave challenges and achieved successive strides. He underlined the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to set up the space sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting the royal directives at the opening of the 3rd session of the 5th legislative term to acquire future sciences and technology, including space sciences. He underlined HM the King’s keenness on developing national cadres and developing the space sector, pointing out in this regard the establishment of the National Space Science Authority (NSSA). He commended solid relations binding the two brotherly countries and people, looking forward to bolstering joint cooperation in the sector of space sciences and being for the UAE expertise which yielded a number of projects, in addition to exchanging expertise and building national competences. He pointed out in this regard the selection of a Bahrain space team, in cooperation with the UAE Space Agency, and the joint project to build a satellite in addition to training programmes. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance for the Arabian Gulf region to keep abreast of global space strides and develop high sea navigation. He urged the Bahraini and GCC and Arab youth to benefit from the encouraging opportunities provided by sincere and responsible leaders in their countries in order to innovate and excel in all fields. He commended the keenness of Emirati astronauts Hazza Al Mansouri and Sultan Al Nayadi to take part in the forum and shed light on their rich experience as part of the :Zayed Ambitious Mission”. He stressed the keenness of the UAE leadership to inspire and motivate the youth to embark in space exploration, highlight the success trip of Hazza Al Mansouri to the International Space Station (ISS) which represented an historic step for the United Arab Emirates. Emirati astronauts Hazza Al Mansouri and Sultan Al Nayadi took part in the remote forum which was modertated by NSSA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Al-Aseeri. Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received today Board Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the outstanding efforts made by Shaikha Hessa and the board members in implementing programmes aimed at grooming youngsters and preparing them for the labour market. He said the tireless work done by INJAZ Bahrain is highly appreciated for its contribution to providing the Bahraini youth with training and employment opportunities. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that INJAZ Bahrain has greatly contributed to equipping Bahraini youngsters with administrative and technical experience and developing their skills. He lauded the remarkable role played by Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and the board members in this regard, commending keenness to provide a suitable environment for Bahraini youth. His Majesty’s representative of Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Yasser Mohammed Shaaban. HH Shaikh Nasser noted that Bahrain always seeks to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in various fields, reflecting the interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. He praised the ambassador’s role in promoting mutual relations, wishing him continuous success. The ambassador praised the historical bilateral relations, and the areas of coordination and cooperation for the benefit of both countries, stressing his country’s aspiration towards further cooperation in various fields.more
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa affirmed that the launch of King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on its third edition aims to continue Bahrain’s efforts to support the international community to celebrate youth around the world. HH Shaikh Nasser said that continuing the King Hamad Award this year despite coronavirus pandemic, reflects Bahrain's commitment to global youth, and reflects the Kingdom's support for the efforts of the United Nations in order to give youth the full opportunity to implement sustainable development goals. He added that the projects that will be presented in this edition from various categories have been linked between achieving the sustainable development goals and ways to combat the coronavirus pandemic and overcome its effects as a prerequisite for the award, which gives the award flexibility and broadens the scope of its interests further. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed that the award came to urge the international community, governmental and private bodies, the civil sector and the youth sectors to make more efforts and within the framework of competitiveness in order to achieve international goals. more
