HM the King’s Representatives for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, and Board of Trustees’ Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has congratulated RCO Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Ameen on being appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for Humanitarian Affairs. Dr. Al-Sayed was nominated to the post by the Arab Achievers’ Foundation, and supported by both the Bahraini and Egyptian foreign ministries. HH Shaikh Nasser lauded Dr. Al-Sayed’s efforts to implement the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the delivery of developmental, charity and humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad, praising his keenness to carry out all the tasks assigned to him in this regard, and his contributions to developing charity and humanitarian work. On the occasion, Dr. Al-Sayed extended deepest thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad, RCO’s Honorary President, for his constant support for charity and humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad, and directives to him to serve orphans and widows through RCO. Thanks to the kind royal care, and HH Shaikh Nasser’s support, RCO has made quantum leaps in charity and humanitarian work, he said. RCO secretary-general also extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and to HH Shaikh Nasser, for their honourable stances and great support to charity work. Dr. Al-Sayed lauded the support of the Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Labour and Social Development Minister and the Health Minister, paying tribute to the Bahraini citizens for their active involvement in RCO’s charity activities. Dr. Al-Sayed was speaking during his inauguration ceremony as a Goodwill Ambassador for Humanitarian Affairs, held in Egypt, in the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador there, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and RCO’ Board of Trustees member, Salman Al-Dossary. The ambassador congratulated Dr. Al-Sayed for winning the post, lauding the efforts exerted by HM the King, HRH Premier, HRH the Crown Prince and HH Shaikh Nasser in support of charity and humanitarian work in the kingdom and abroad, noting that Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed has set the example in hard-work, creativity and dedication in the service of the homeland. Deputy Chairman of RCO’s Board of Trustees, Sheikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan, extended sincere congratulations to Dr. Al-Sayed, noting that he deserves all his successes, posts and degrees. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the fraternal ties and mutual trust between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People's Republic of China, while receiving the Ambassador of China to Bahrain, Mr. Anwaer Habibullah. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the need to enhance cooperation in order to achieve common interests, affirming keenness to increase youth and sports cooperation, exchange visits and experiences between the two friendly countries. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the shared directions that unite the two countries and the notably growing friendship, especially in the area of development. He expressed happiness with cooperation and coordination in various fields, praising the remarkable development which will achieve mutual aspirations in the coming period. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, announced that all the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs members have become consultants to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, owing to their capabilities in detailing suggestions and ideas aimed at developing the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom. This came during HH Shaikh Nasser's patronage to the annual staff ceremony of the ministry which was held at Sofitel Hotel in the presence of Minister of Youth and Sports, Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, as well as other high-ranking officials. Delivering a speech on the occasion of the event, HH Shaikh Nasser said: "I urge the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs to start to be consultants to HM the King on the youth and sports area and to work from now on producing ideas aimed at elevating the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom." Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser praised the Ministry of Youth and Sports staff as responsible and they boast the best capabilities in defining and detailing suggestions to improve the administrative and technical work at the ministry. "We look forward to having everyone at the ministry starting their role as advisers to HM the King and provide new ideas, regardless of their size. We will work with HE the Minister of Youth and Sports to implement them," HH Shaikh Nasser added, valuing the achievements accomplished by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the blessed era of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. "The Kingdom of Bahrain has been able to compete with the world in various fields thanks to its reliance on youth, who are the real wealth of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Many countries have hired employees from outside their countries in order to decorate the image of their youth and sports movement, but we in the Kingdom of Bahrain and under the guidance of HM the King, we counted on our youth in our progress in this area. Our dependence on them is a great confirmation and endorsement of our firm belief in them," HH Shaikh Nasser stressed. Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the professional dealing of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs with the progress of the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom, stating that it fully implemented the policies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. Under the patronage of HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Nasser Vocational Training Center (NVTC), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the graduation ceremony of the students of NVTC’s second batch. Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and state officials attended the graduation of 208 students, held at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa’s Hall. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of training and rehabilitating Bahraini youth and providing them with the necessary potentials and expertise in order to pave the way for them to be creative. He also highlighted the importance of providing the public and private sectors in the kingdom with qualified Bahraini youth who have all the success requirements so as to consolidate Bahrain’s leading status, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support youth and enable them to play a major role in the kingdom’s sustainable development process. HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that building a comprehensive development system in the kingdom requires necessarily a real partnership with youth through rehabilitating them and providing them with scientific and professional expertise, emphasising the importance of putting in place a suitable environment in which Bahraini youth could be creative and contribute effectively to building their society. He highlighted NVTC’s effective role in attracting youth and preparing them to continue their studies or enter the labour market. HH SHiakh Nasser congratulated the graduates and their parents, wishing them every success. He also commended the efforts being exerted by the Ministry of Education in this regard. The Education Minister, in his speech, welcomed HH Shaikh Nasser, stressing that the NVTC’s objectives are in line with HM the King’s vision on the need to give Bahraini youth the opportunity to contribute more effectively in the kingdom’s development march. The minister asserted that the Ministry of Education, in line with HH Shaikh Nasser’s directives, has exerted tremendous efforts to include the NVTC in the government’s educational and training system and to improve its performance. He affirmed that the Education Ministry’s efforts have reflected positively on the performance of the centre, citing the outstanding results of the graduates. After that, students Ali Al-Yafi’ee and Nooh Al-Mirbati delivered statements in Arabic and English on behalf of the graduates. They expressed delight at their graduation, noting that the centre has embraced their dreams and provided them with a distinguished opportunity to be trained by qualified and dedicated staff.more
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, along with HH Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Athletics Federation, today welcomed HH Lt. General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the State Security Department of the UAE, upon their arrival to the Kingdom to attend the Formula 1 2018 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. The Minister of Interior, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, was also present to welcome the UAE delegation. HH Shaikh Nasser noted the deep ties between Bahrain the UAE.more
Royal Guard Commander, Brigadier-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today visited the British Imperial War Museum. HH Shaikh Nasser was accompanied by the museum’s Director-General Mrs. Diane Lees. HH Shaikh Nasser toured the museum’s various halls and sections, and was informed about its collectibles and exhibits that simulated 20th century wars. He also saw pictures showing Bahrain’s involvement in World War II. The Royal Guard Commander expressed admiration for the museum’s collectibles and exhibits, and praised Britain’s role in preserving such a valuable military history.more
Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has stressed the crucial role played by sports fans in the qualification of the Bahrain National Football team for the semi-finals of the 23rd Gulf Cup, currently hosted by Kuwait. He affirmed that the presence of Bahraini spectators was a source of strength for the players during their last group stage match in which they managed to book their semi-final spot. HH Shaikh Nasser added that the national team was also supported by football fans in Bahrain, who, he said, was clear in the celebrations that prevailed across the country following the victory. HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the loyal Bahraini spectators are always keen to stand with the national team to encourage the players, stressing that the next match will be massively attended by Bahraini spectators to secure a positive result and qualify for the final match. We are keen to support the team fully in the Gulf Cup, and we will stand by the players in order to achieve outstanding results in the tournament. We will make initiatives that contribute to increasing the national team’s chances for winning the title, including the transportation of Bahraini spectators to Kuwait in recognition of the key role they have played in the team’s results, and given the importance of their presence during the match, HH Shaikh Nasser said.more
