Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the participants in the Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship, which will be held in Bahrain on December 7-9. The number of participants reached 1061 male and female representing 77 countries. His Highness affirmed that Ironman Championship represents an important event in the Kingdom and sheds light on Bahrain’s continuous successes in organizing major sport events, praising the efforts of the organizing committee and its keenness to provide all success factors for the participants to record a new achievement for Bahrain. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his appreciation to all government ministries, companies and private institutions for their great cooperation with the Organizing Committee and their keenness to make efforts to produce a distinguished race that reflects the high capabilities of the Kingdom in its administrative and technical resources.more

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has deputized His Highness Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard, to inaugurate the 18th Manama Dialogue 2022. The three-day international security conference started on Friday evening with the participation of high-level delegations of ministers, security officials, military leaders and academics from various countries across the world. HH Shaikh Nasser conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the participating delegations from various countries. HH Shaikh Nasser welcomed the participants in this conference and pointed out that their participation will enrich the sessions of the Manama Dialogue and strengthen the discussion of strategic issues that pose challenges and require international coordination to tackle them. HH expressed hope the conference will contribute to finding quick solutions that contribute to settling conflicts and wars and combating terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations.more
Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received a delegation from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), led by FIBA Secretary-General Andreas Zagklis and FIBA Treasurer Ingo Weis, who is alsos German Basketball Federation Chairman. The meeting was also attended by Bahrain Olympic Committee Deputy President HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayyed and Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Chairman Walid Al Alawi. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance of cooperation with the International Basketball Federation, which contributes to supporting the BBA's efforts to upgrade the technical and administrative system and work side by side in order to implement plans, programs and initiatives that meet the needs of Bahraini basketball. He commended joint cooperation with FIBA, which contributed to implementing development programmes aimed to support basketball in Bahrain. He gave directives to BBA officials to benefit from FIBA programmes to support the national basketball team , which progressed tangibly at all levels. Within the framework of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today issued an edict, restructuring the Board of Directors of the Bapco Retail Company (Bapco Tazweed). Under the edict, Isa Mohammed Najibi was appointed as Chairman and Mohammed Said Al-Shehab as Deputy Chairman of Bapco Tazweed's Board of Directors. The board shall also comprise Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sada, Ibrahim Mohammed Kanoo, Mahran Jamsheer Mirza and Sahar Kamran Ataei as members. The edict is part of nogaholding's efforts to rely on local expertise to promote development in its subsidiaries in line with its future strategies, and in order to ensure sustainability. Bapco Tazweed services focus on building, managing and operating fueling service stations in the Kingdom.more
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad AlKhalifa, has today cast his ballotin parliamentary and municipal elections at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) polling station. In a statement, he hailed Bahrain’s unique democratic process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa which ranked the Kingdom of Bahrain among the most advanced nations. He praised the broad popular participation, which indicates the people's awareness of the importance of their role in the elections to deliver the best representative who helps in enacting legislation and laws that ensure the progress of the development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain. HH Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts made by all government agencies and the committee supervising the elections to ensure that the elections proceed properly.more
Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received a cable of congratulations from Minister of Interior, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on the amazing success of the Bahrain-UAE joint counterterrorism drill “Jalmud 3”. The Interior Minister praised the drill’s realistic hypotheses and well-studied scenarios, which reflect a clear strategic reading of the surrounding challenges and circumstances. He stressed that HH Shaikh Nasser’s supervision of the stages of the exercise had a great role in making this achievement, which was manifested in field realism and the sincerity and determination shown by the participants which demonstrated their professional capabilities and combat readiness.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on issuing Decree-Law 42 of 2022, amending some provisions of Amiri Decree 5 of 1983 on amending Amiri Decree 2 of 1975 regarding the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport. HH Shaikh Nasser said that the decree will contribute to the development of youth and sports fields in the Kingdom. He praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Supreme Council for Youth & Sports thanked HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the government's support to youth and sports in the Kingdom. The decree promotes the Council's visions and policies that are drawn up by HH Shaikh Nasser to develop the youth and sports action in the country, and continue to reap the achievements in the golden age. The decree confirmed that the Council is concerned with drawing up the general policy of ministries, authorities and institutions related to youth and sports, especially those related to the development of youth and sports affairs. The decree also draws up the policy related to youth relations between Bahrain and other relevant international organizations and bodies, and its participation in International conferences. It also sets a policy for establishing private facilities in the youth and sports sectors and follows up on their implementation, all within the country’s general policy.more
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace today Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and members. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented a briefing to HM the King on the discovery of two natural gas reservoirs in each of the unconventional "Al-Juba" and "Al-Jawf" layers, which are located under the gas-producing "Al-Khuf" and "Al-Onaiza" reservoirs. His Highness said that the announcement of the discovery comes after the implementation of the evaluation excavation and tests in the "Al-Juba" reservoir and the completion of two wells in the "Al-Jawf" reservoir, the results of which were encouraging in terms of quantity and production opportunities. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa added that these significant discoveries are in tune with the vision and ambition of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to boost natural resources in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, HM the King thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and nogaholding board members for their dedicated efforts to develop the oil and gas sector, wishing them further success. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed most sincere thanks and gratitude to HM the King for the meeting and valuable directives. He stressed the importance of the discoveries in providing the needed information to go ahead with further required evaluation of the wells to benefit from the promising natural gas resource to the fullest. "This information available to us paves the way for the future development and production of the natural gas resource in the interest of the Kingdom of Bahrain," he said. His Highness spotlighted the latest developments and achievements of nogaholding and its associated companies as well as the efforts made in building a more sustainable work model. HH Shaikh Nasser briefed HM the King about a number of future projects and strategic initiatives set to be launched next year, in accordance with the vision of HM the King and the aspirations of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to develop the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.more
A memorandum of understanding has been signed today between the Bahrain Defence Force and the UAE Ministry of Defence related to cooperation between the two countries in the field of training and conducting joint exercises. The signing ceremony was attended by National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei. Also present were Royal Guard Special Force Commander Lieutenant-Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Brigadier General Muslim Muhammad Saeed Al Rashidi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Presidential Guard for Combating Terrorism The agreement aims to lay the foundations and general principles for joint exercises related to combating terrorism and to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of exchanging military expertise.more
