Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria, as part of the 22nd IISS “Manama Dialogue 2026”, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the strength of the fraternal ties between Bahrain and Syria, and the importance of continuing to develop bilateral cooperation and strengthening consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest, to consolidate ties between the two brotherly countries and support efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

During the meeting, a number of topics and issues of mutual interest were discussed, and views were exchanged on the latest regional and international developments. The meeting also stressed the importance of consolidating the foundations of regional and international security and stability, and the need to ensure the security of vital waterways and freedom of navigation to support regional and global development and prosperity.
