National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed strong historic relations spanning over two hundred years between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and steadily-growing security and defence ties and joint cooperation to combat extremism and terrorism. HH Shaikh Nasser discussed with British Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser David Quarrey ways of consolidating cooperation and friendship, and exchanging political, security and defence expertise, in addition to regional and international issues of common interest. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised Bahrain’s strategic and steadily-growing partnership with the United Kingdom, as well as constructive cooperation to protect international maritime movement and combating organized crime and terrorism, stressing joint commitment to bolstering security and peace in the Middle East and achieving common economic and security interests. HH Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa asserted the importance of further developing relations between the two friendly countries to achieve the desired goals. The National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard His Highness Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa headed Bahrain’s delegation at the annual Dragon Group meeting that was held in London. The meeting discussed ways of military coordination and joint defense cooperation for the participating countries, to address the various challenges and threats surrounding the region by unifying the concept of joint action, which contributes to counter-terrorism, piracy and smuggling operations, to maintain the security and stability of the region. The participants were Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and Jordan, in addition to the GCC General Secretariat and the UK. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that these meetings push for further advancement of joint military action and find the best ways to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation and coherence between the participating countries by unifying the common approaches and concepts in the military matter and be updated with important developments in the region.more

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad exchanged with the royal Guard team congratulations on Eid Al Fitr, wishing everyone many happy returns. He took pride in the Royal Guard team’s efforts and strong determination to achieve the desired goal, which reflects the potential of Bahraini youth to overcome all difficulties and honour the Kingdom of Bahrain in international arenas. He said that His Majesty the King’s call with the expedition upon their success in reaching the Mt Everest peak was a catalyst for the team to continue honouring Bahrain, lauding the efforts of the Royal Guard affiliates. The Royal Guard team paid tribute to HM the King, saying that HM’s phone call will always motivate them to further achievements for the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended, at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the parade which was held at the military airport, on the sidelines of his visit to the Republic of Serbia. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa witnessed several military shows, conducted by units of the Serbian army. He also took stock of the Serbian-manufactured military equipment and was briefed about the advanced weaponry. In a statement on this occasion, he praised the high professional competencies of the Serbian army, which reflect President Vucic’s keen interest and follow-up. “The military bases clearly confirm President Vucic’s keenness on providing the appropriate environment for this important sector”, he said. He said that Serbia boasts a well-established military equipment that is manufactured locally, which confirms the privileged standing and high capabilities of those in charge of manufacturing military weaponry. National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, stressed his keenness to support national competencies in the Royal Guard. He expressed appreciation of the remarkable efforts made by First Lieutenant Fares Noureddine who is the youngest orthopedic surgeon to obtain the board and graduated from the Orthopedics Saudi Bard Programme 2020. He commended the achievement, stressing the Royal Guard’ keenness to support its affiliates. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa also emphasised the Royal Guard’s approach of supporting Bahraini youngsters, pointing out that the achievement brought about by First Lieutenant Fares Noureddine will contribute to further upgrading the therapeutic sports system.more
Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has stressed that the Commemoration Day, launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to be celebrated in conjunction with the kingdom’s National Days, is a national occasion to pay homage to the martyrs of duty who sacrificed their life for the sake of the nation. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended the decision of HM the King to observe the Commemoration Day on December 17, the anniversary of his accession to the throne, as an act of gratitude to the martyrs of duty who sacrificed their life to protect their homeland as well as the security and stability of their brethren in the Arabian Gulf. HH paid tribute to the fallen servicemen who sacrificed their life in defending the nation and its stability and security. He said their heroism will remain carved in the national memory and the Kingdom of Bahrain will always remain loyal to their blood. He added that the martyrs of duty drew with their blood a real epic in the history of the nation by defending the right and set a wonderful example in sacrifice and self-denial so that the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain remains high.more
