Nasser bin Hamad attends the 105th Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in Franceالترجمة
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, attended the 105th Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, held at the Paris Longchamp racecourse in Paris, which featured some of the world’s finest horses and jockeys and attracted a large crowd and significant media coverage.
Also in attendance were, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Shaikh Duaij bin Salman bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Horse Welfare Authority.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe established itself as one of the most important and prestigious global horse races, adding that the high-level participation it attracts reflects the great significance the race holds on the international racing calendar.
His Highness noted that participating in such global events is an important opportunity to continue strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain’s presence in horse racing, and highlighting the advanced levels achieved by Bahraini equestrianism. His Highness stressed the commitment to building on the achievements made in recent years and striving for more accomplishments to strengthen the Kingdom’s standing in international races.
The Victorious Forever team continued its impressive run in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, after Caballo De Mar secured victory in the Qatar Prix du Cadran (Group 1) over 4,000 metres, ridden by jockey Oisin Murphy and trained by George Scott. He retained the title he won last year, reaffirming his dominance in one of the most prestigious and demanding long-distance races, and adding a new achievement in the Victorious Forever team’s record in international racing.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received the first-place prize for the Qatar Prix du Cadran (Group1).
The race also saw a remarkable Bahraini performance as the Victorious Forever team secured a victory with the horse Wimbledon Hawkeye, who won the Qatar Prix Dollar (Group 2) over 2,000 metres, adding a new achievement to the team’s record.
Wimbledon Hawkeye put in a strong performance throughout the race, ridden by jockey Christophe Soumillon with trainer George Scott, managing to secure victory against a strong field of competitors.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received the first-place prize for the Qatar Prix Dollar, following Wimbledon Hawkeye’s victory.
