Nasser bin Hamad visits Youth City 2030 and praises the development of its programmes, their outcomes and their impact on young peopleالترجمة

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, affirmed that the support Bahraini youth receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, embodies His Majesty’s belief that young people are the leaders of the future, and partners in shaping the nation’s future. His Highness also noted that the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is a cornerstone in promoting initiatives and programmes that meet the youth's aspirations and provide them with quality opportunities for learning, training and gaining experience in various fields.

 

This came during a visit by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the 15th edition of Youth City 2030, organised in collaboration with the Labour Fund "Tamkeen" and the Summer Sports City, in the presence of a number of officials. His Highness praised the progress made by the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 in attracting young people and engaging them in a comprehensive experience that combines learning, application and practice, noting the city’s high-quality programmes and initiatives across various fields.

 

His Highness praised the diversity of partnerships that helped enrich the City’s experience and training content, emphasising that the integration of programmes, expertise and national and international partnerships had a positive impact on the City’s outcomes and its influence on young people. His Highness commended the specialised sporting programmes and activities offered by the Summer Sports City, which combine training, practice, competition, and the discovery and development of talent, and providing a stimulating environment to develop the youth's physical and technical abilities.

 

During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the city’s centres and pathways in leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, arts and culture, science and technology, and sport, as well as the training opportunities they offer that combine knowledge with practical application, alongside helping young people develop their skills.

 

His Highness also toured the Summer Sports City, one of the specialised centres hosted by Youth City 2030, and was briefed on the integrated system of sports programmes and activities it offers.

 

During the tour, His Highness received a commemorative gift from Bahrain Islamic Bank in recognition of his support for the second edition of the ‘We Write in Arabic’ initiative, and to mark the launch of the initiative’s third edition.

 

His Highness also attended an artistic performance by young people from Youth City 2030, during which the participants showcased their skills and artistic creativity.

 

His Highness also took a commemorative photograph with volunteers from Youth City 2030 and the Summer Sports City, in recognition of their efforts, dedication and role in ensuring the success of the programmes and events.
