His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, instructed the General Sports Authority to remove the metal barriers in spectator stands at stadiums and sports venues.

Within this framework, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the General Sports Authority, instructed the relevant parties to immediately take the necessary steps in this regard.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s initiative is part of his keenness to enhance the Bahraini fan experience and develop the sporting environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain, coinciding with the resounding success of the final match of His Majesty the King’s Cup for the 2025–2026 season, where fans created a magnificent artistic display in the stands, reflecting sophisticated organisation and outstanding engagement. The General Sports Authority confirms that it will immediately begin implementing Their Highnesses’ directives to ensure stadiums’ readiness, in line with the leadership’s aspirations to make Bahraini sport a model of excellence and innovation.
