Under the patronage of HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, RCO hosted the annual Ramadan meeting for its affiliates.الترجمة

Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Dean of Diplomatic Corps and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam Al-Sabah. On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, RCO’s Honorary President, to all orphans and their families. He valued highly the royal fatherly care for Bahraini orphans, constant support to RCO and keenness to provide all kinds of services to affiliates to ensure decent living for them. He stressed that all RCO staff are dedicated to turning the royal visions and aspirations into reality through delivering outstanding services to the beneficiaries, wishing HM the King abundant good health and happiness. HH Shaikh Nasser wished RCO affiliates heavenly rewards marking the holy month of Ramadan. He also urged RCO-sponsored students to exert tremendous efforts to acquire sciences and achieve academic success in order to be able to serve the kingdom, under the leadership of HM King Hamad, the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. RCO Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed welcomed the audience and congratulated them on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the leadership and the Bahraini people many happy returns. He also extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for patronising the annual Ramadan meeting, and keenness on meeting RCO’s affiliates to be informed about their conditions, and to share with them the joy of the holy month. He stressed that RCO strives to achieve HM the King’s ambitions and implement HH Shaikh Nasser’s directives to enhance its services for the beneficiaries. Al-Sayed affirmed that the continuous care of HM the King and support of Shaikh Nasser has strengthened RCO and enabled it to attain many landmark achievements, citing the "Orphan Care Leadership Award in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Member States" conferred on HM the King, in tribute for his pioneering orphan care role at the local, Arab, Islamic and international levels. He also cited RCO’s winning the HRH Princess Sabeeka Award for Productive Families, 2017, HH Shaikh Nasser’s crowning as the "Arab Giving Knight" at the fourth Arab Giving Forum, organized by the Zayed Giving Initiative, as well as Shaikh Nasser’s obtaining a thanks and appreciation certificate from the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres in recognition of Bahrain’s key role in delivering aid to all disaster-affected areas. Dr. Al-Sayed expressed pride in the Kingdom’s ranking first in the Arab world and 13th at the international level in the 2015 Giving Index and RCO’s winning the W 3’s golden award for non-profit organizations for its website, as well its winning the silver award granted by the Davey Awards for the content of its website. Dr. Al-Sayed highlighted RCO’s recent projects, including the Bahrain School in Jordan, two Azhari institutes and two health centres in Egypt, the opening of two vocational training institutes in the Philippines and the funding of five students in the Islamic University of Gaza. He voiced pride in RCO’s achievements which, he said, have been attained thanks to the leadership’s support. He also lauded the support enjoyed by the RCO from the Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, and the Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
