Nasser bin Hamad: We continue to build a secure cyber environment that keeps pace with the digital futureالترجمة
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to strengthen national capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, which represents a strategic priority to protect the country's gains and preserve the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came during His Highness’s visit to the national cyber drill “Cyber Shield 2025” held under His Highness’s patronage and organized by the National Cybersecurity Centre. The drill is held under the theme "Supply Chain Attacks", with wide participation from various government agencies and vital and private sectors.
On the occasion , His Highness was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre.
His Highness noted that the national cyber drill reflects the extent of national awareness and understanding of the importance of joint action and continuous coordination between all parties to address cyber challenges, which have become the greatest threat to security in the current era. His Highness commended the Bahraini competencies participating in the drill, who are working hard and with determination to build a secure and resilient cyber environment in line with the Kingdom's aspirations for a digital future.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on all the details of the drill’s stages, its implementation mechanisms, and the advanced cyber aspects represented during the drill, which aim to enhance national readiness in the face of ever-increasing digital threats.
