HH Shaikh Nasser key speaker during World Youth Forumالترجمة
HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will participate in the second edition of the World Youth Forum, due to be held here under the patronage of Egyptian President, Abdul Fattah el-Sisi from November 3 to 6.
HH Shaikh Nasser will be accompanied by Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar.
The world forum will attract an elite of world leaders, inspiring and influential personalities and those with successful experiences in various youth fields.
A grand celebration will be held at the opening of the forum commensurate with its international dimension.
HH Shaikh Nasser will be the key speaker during the first session of the forum, on the “Role of World Leaders in Building and Sustaining Peace”.
The World Youth Forum is a platform launched by promising youth. It sends a message of peace, prosperity, harmony, and progress to the entire world. It engages youth from around the globe in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures.
The forum offers youth an opportunity to engage with top policymakers, network with promising youth from the region and the world that are determined to make our world a better place for everyone.
The World Youth Forum’s agenda is divided into various main themes, tackling topics of interest to international youth, creating a platform to express views, present ideas and share experiences throughout its sessions.
The first main theme is “Peace”, and focuses on the “The Role of World Leaders in Building and Sustaining Peace”, “Euro-Mediterranean Co-operation: A Strategic Partnership”, “Humanitarian Assistance: A Global Responsibility in the Face of Challenges”, “Rebuilding Societies and States in the Context of Post-Conflict”, “The Role of Soft Power in Countering Ideological Extremism and Terrorism” and “Day Zero: Water Security in the Wake of Climate Change”.
The second main theme is “Development” and covers “Volunteerism: Towards a More Responsible Society”, “Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want”, “How do We Build Future Leaders?”, “Towards Narrowing the Gender Gap in the Labour Market”, “In a Rapidly Changing World Map: “Who Provides the World with Energy?”, and “Enabling Persons with Disabilities: Towards a More Integrated World”.
The third main theme is “Creativity” and covers “Employment Opportunities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, “Digital citizenship: digital rights and responsibilities in the Internet world”, “The Role of Art and Cinema in Shaping Societies”, “Social Media: Saving or Enslaving Users?”, and “E-Sports and Games: An Insight into the Virtual World of Electronic Games”.
The forum will review prominent international experiences in rehabilitating and training youth, as well as the role of countries and societies in making future leaders.
