Nasser bin Hamad attends closing ceremony of “Gadeha Junior” training camp in the presence of Khalid bin Hamadالترجمة
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, attended the closing ceremony of the “Gadeha Junior” training camp, which was held at Exhibition World Bahrain, in the presence of Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Operations and a number of distinguished guests and invitees.
On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the “Gadeha Junior” camp is a national project aimed at investing in the country’s youth, developing their character, honing their skills and preparing them to be better equipped to shoulder responsibility and face challenges. His Highness noted that investing in and empowering young people will remain a top priority, as they are a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s progress and future.
His Highness added: “We take pride in what the participants achieved during the camp, and in the dedication, commitment and high spirits they demonstrated, which reflect the authentic values that characterise Bahraini youth. Through this project, we wanted military life – with its discipline, commitment and sense of responsibility – to serve as a means of shaping the participants’ character and instilling in them the values of leadership, teamwork and self-confidence.”
His Highness also noted: “The outstanding examples we see today confirm that investing in the younger generation is a genuine investment in Bahrain’s future. We look forward to the participants carrying what they have learnt at the camp into their daily lives, serving as role models in their schools and communities, and always placing service to the country and its advancement at the forefront of their goals.”
His Highness praised the efforts made in organising the camp, commending the role of the organisers, trainers and supervisors, as well as the sponsors and supporters who contributed to the project’s success and the achievement of its objectives.
The ceremony began with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Organising Committee and Director of the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, then delivered a speech on the occasion.
Afterwards, a special film was screened offering a behind-the-scenes look at the camp, showcasing aspects of the participants’ journey, as well as the training, experiences and situations they encountered, which developed their capabilities and strengthened their team spirit and discipline. The ceremony also featured an interactive military display.
Sponsors were also honoured during the ceremony, in recognition of their support and contribution to the success of the ‘Gadeha Junior’ camp. These were: the strategic partners – the General Sports Authority, and the Bahrain Olympic Committee. The gold sponsors: The Royal Guard, Binaa Al Bahrain, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Kuwait Finance House, Al Salam Bank, and the Royal University for Women. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa then honoured 20 outstanding participants in recognition of their performance and discipline throughout the various stages of the camp, in the following categories: behavioural excellence, disciplinary excellence, intellectual excellence, physical excellence and leadership excellence. The winners of the Gadeha Cup for Excellence were also honoured, namely the following four participants: in the junior girls’ category, Aline Qamar Salim; in the junior boys’ category, Khalifa Ibrahim Al Ghadeer; in the senior women’s category, Fawzia Abdullah Al Amiri; and in the senior men’s category, Ammar Yasser Mirza.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a group photograph was taken of the outstanding participants. Ahmed Al Shaikh presented a commemorative gift to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
