Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander received U.S. Senator Brian Schatz during His Highness’s visit to Washington D.C., the United States of America, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, His Highness affirmed the depth of the long-standing historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, and their ongoing development at various levels, in light of the mutual commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two friendly nations.

His Highness noted that the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) has strengthened the strategic cooperation between the two friendly nations and increased integration in the service of mutual interests. The meeting also reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to develop them in areas of mutual interest, alongside discussions on a number of regional and international issues and matters of mutual concern.
