Nasser bin Hamad: Gulf youth turn challenges into opportunities and shape the future with a mindset that sees nothing is impossibleالترجمة
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, affirmed that Gulf Youth Day, which falls on 6 June, is an important milestone in celebrating the significant achievements of the youth of the gulf, who have contributed to advancing development and cementing the GCC states’ position as a global model in empowering young people and investing in their potential.
His Highness noted that these achievements are an extension of the wise visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, who made the youth a key partner in shaping the future and a central focus of sustainable development plans.
His Highness explained that the ongoing support afforded to Gulf youth by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, helped create an environment that supports and encourages creativity and innovation, and enabled young people to transform their ideas and aspirations into initiatives, projects and achievements with a tangible impact at various levels, particularly as the Kingdom of Bahrain has accorded young people great support and made them a top priority, by adopting initiatives and programmes that empower them, develop their capabilities and hone their skills, which strengthens their role as active partners in driving development.
His Highness noted that Bahraini and Gulf youth have proven that success is not measured by the scale of the challenges they face, but by their determination, pointing out that the GCC’s younger generations possess a mindset that believes every obstacle presents an opportunity, and that every challenge offers a new avenue for achievement, and that the path to the future is not forged by waiting for ideal circumstances, but by creating opportunities from challenges.
His Highness added that young people in the Gulf have not viewed global changes as constraints that hinder ambition, but rather as new avenues for innovation and development. His Highness noted that they succeeded in turning challenges into inspiring success stories, and ideas into impactful projects, and ambitions into achievements that leave a lasting impact, setting an advanced example in awareness, resilience and the ability to shape the future.
His Highness concluded by emphasising that Gulf Youth Day is a celebration of a generation that believes achievement begins with an idea, and that ‘impossible’ is merely a word that yields to determination and hard work; a generation that participates in development with confidence, and continues to build a brighter and more prosperous future for their countries, GCC states and the world.
