His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputized His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, to attend the final match of the His Majesty the King’s Football Cup for the 2025/2026 sporting season, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and a number of senior officials.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa crowned Muharraq Club champions of His Majesty the King’s Football Cup following their victory over Riffa Club in the final, which was attended by a large crowd.

On the occasion, His Highness expressed pride in attending on behalf of His Majesty the King, affirming that His Majesty the King’s Football Cup is one of the most prominent national sporting events, receiving direct support from His Majesty the King. His Highness noted that this support reflects His Majesty’s commitment to enhancing the status of sport in the Kingdom and raising its standards, to make further achievements at various levels.

His Highness noted that the final match reflected the advanced level Bahraini football has reached, in terms of technical performance, crowd attendance and organisation, praising the high spirit of the players.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the Board of Directors of Muharraq Club, chaired by Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa on the occasion. His Highness praised the team’s outstanding performance throughout the competition and commended the level of Riffa Club, which reflects the progress of Bahraini football.

His Highness also expressed appreciation to the Bahrain Football Association for the professional organisation of the competition, emphasising that the Cup’s success reflects combined efforts and organised institutional work, which enhances the international standing of Bahraini sports.
