A telephone call was held between Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council and Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State and Acting National Security Advisor.

During the call, the latest developments regarding Iran’s hostile attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and the region were reviewed, with both sides reiterating their condemnation of these attacks and the ongoing escalation, which violate state sovereignty and international laws and norms.

The call also underscored the depth of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, which continue to grow across various levels. They commended the progress achieved in bilateral cooperation and coordination in light of the strategic partnerships and joint agreements between the two sides in various fields.
