Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 26th Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament, organised by the American Mission Hospital at the Royal Golf Club, has concluded.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, participated with the Victorious team on the third day of the tournament, while participating with the Safriya team on the second day.

On the occasion, His Highness affirmed that His Majesty the King's patronage of the tournament confirms His Majesty's continued support for Bahraini sport in general and golf in particular, which is steadily progressing towards further development and prosperity.

His Highness praised the organisational level of the tournament since it began, noting that the wide participation reflects support for charitable and humanitarian initiatives that benefit society, commending the participants’ performance and the outstanding technical level of the tournament.

The tournament witnessed wide participation from teams and players from various bodies, amid strong competition and advanced technical skill, reflecting the development of golf in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Victorious team, consisting of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Mike Lorenzo, Mahdi Tadaoui and Soufiane Tadaoui, won first place in the Championship Flight, with a total of 46.2 points. Second place went to the Ministry of Interior team with a total of 48.7 points, and third place went to the Mohammed Jalal team (2) with 51.3 points.

First place in the Premier Flight went to the Safriya team, consisting of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Mohammed Mousallam, Soufiane Tadaoui and Mahdi Tadaoui with a total of 47.1 points. Second place went to the Jakers team with a total of 47.4 points, and third place went to the VGA team with a total of 49.3 points.
