Nasser bin Hamad attends Leadership Programme closing ceremonyالترجمة
His Majesty the King's Charity and Youth Affairs Representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the closing ceremony of the Developing Leadership Skills and Knowledge Programme.
The event was part of Nasser bin Hamad’s Leadership Programme and it took place within the framework of Nasser bin Hamad Foundation programmes and with the partnership with Yela!, a leading global provider of inspiring learning experiences. A number of Bahraini youth participated in this programme, which was lectured by Programme Advisor Lieutenant General Peter Pearson, Founder of Yela! and programme director Scotty Johnson, . Also on hand were the programme’s Facilitator Richard Strudwick and programme’s Manager Flynne Rushton. It was held at Sofitel Hotel. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said: "All programmes offered by the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation to the Bahraini youth aim to develop their abilities, although young Bahrainis were and still are the subject of our attention to the implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. "We launched several initiatives and awards which urge young people to innovate and develop their skills and leadership abilities, as building future strategies for young people based on investment in youth which enable them to contribute to building the future of Bahrain." Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed the importance of developing the leadership skills and abilities of young Bahrainis, which include the building a person's self-awareness, communication skills, problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and personal authenticity. He stressed that these programmes and training courses which are offered to the youth are designed to prepare future leaders in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the leadership development is an integral part of the process to continue programmes that offer to Bahraini youth development. Shaikh Nasser said: "We focus through this programme in developing the abilities of young people in key areas of the world for each of the personal and leadership development, and will specifically focus on building competence in self-awareness, communication skills, problem solving, strategic thinking and personal endorsements." He added that this programme is an exciting and accessible opportunity for young ambitious leaders in Bahrain, where a total of 16 Bahrainis (both men and women) have the opportunity to experience over four days where they improve their basic knowledge, plus gain the capacity to lead in a better way their lives, their organisations and society in general. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad pointed out that such programmes will continue to be available to young Bahrainis, hoping that in providing them with the expertise and skills necessary to be able to participate, their development takes place, which therefore empowers the younger generation
