HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad hails Bahrain’s heritageالترجمة
His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Council (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed the large participation in the “Al-Hayr” contest as part of the first week of the competition on the cup of his son HH Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
The contest, which was held today, is part of the Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season, being held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Organized by the Traditional Sports Heritage Committee, the Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season will run under the 27th of October.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed the large participation which, he said, reflects the keenness of Bahraini youth to engage in various local championships as well as their ability to brave challenges and endure competition.
He stressed the importance of the contest which bolsters efforts aimed at consolidating the culture of marine heritage and inspires youngsters to preserve their national identity which stems from long-standing heritage.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa commended the performance of the participants who competed in the contest, which contributes to highlighting Bahrain’s heritage.
“The Marine Heritage Season will contribute to bolstering national identity, culture and heritage and revealed important aspects of Bahrain’s long-standing history”, he said.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa commended the dedicated efforts which were exerted by the chairman and members of the organising committee to ensure its success.
A total of 180 young Bahrainis representing their respective teams took part in “Al-Hayr” contest as part of the first week of the competition on the cup of HH Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
